What is a Clinical Trial?

Clinical trials are research studies that involve people. They are the final step in a long process that begins with research that is done in a lab. Clinical trials are key to developing new methods to prevent, find and treat all types of diseases. It is through clinical trials that scientists can find out if new treatments are safe and effective and work better than current treatments.

Why Should I Participate

  • Help researchers find a better treatment for a condition that you have.
  • Help find a cure for an illness.
  • Have a positive impact on the future health of your family and community.
  • Find ways to improve care for sick people.
  • Research needs healthy volunteers as well as those with medical conditions in order to find the right answers.

We carefully choose the clinical trials we participate in, the trials must be beneficial to our patients and society as a whole. It is our goal and expectation to provide the highest quality.

We're looking for Participants

If you would like to participate in any of our current studies or that we take it into account for future studies, please contact us. You will be rewarded for your participation and we also cover your transportation costs.

YOU MAY BE ABLE TO TAKE PART IN A CLINICAL RESEARCH STUDY

It is important for patient to take medication as prescribed by their doctors to keep schizophrenia symptoms under control. However, many patients may not take antipsychotic medication as directed by their doctor. This may it difficult for doctors to help patients. Therefore, there is a need for solution to help doctors monitor treatment compliance.

This clinical research study will compare the number of psychiatric hospital admissions in patients with schizophrenia, before and after switching from their regular schizophrenia medication to an investigational drug-device combination. The drug-device combination is approved for use in adults with schizophrenia. However, in this clinical research study, the drug-device combination is investigational.

You may be able to take part in this clinical research study if you:

- own an activated smartphone (mobile phone, cell phone)

- have been taking antipsychotic medication for 6 months o longer.

- have been admitted to a psychiatric hospital at lease once within the past 4 years.

If you take part, you will be in this clinical research study for up to 8.5 months. All study-related care and investigational drug-device combination will be provided to you at no cost.

When you experience EXTREME MOOD SWINGS, every day can feel you're on...

...A NON-STOP ROLLER COASTER OF EMOTIONS

In the blink of an eye, you can swing from feeling happy to sad to angry. These sudden mood changes make it difficult to control your emotions, can affect your self-esteem, and lead to sudden and uncontrollable behaviors and/or unstable relationships.

If you experience these frequent or sudden emotional swings, you could be showing signs of a medical condition called borderline personality disorder (BPD). BPD affects the ability to control one's emotions and causes these emotions to be experienced very intensely. While people with BPD can go through  a number of emotions in a day, they most commonly experience periods of intense sadness, anxiety, of frustration. They may also feel chronically empty and get angry frequently or engage in destructive behaviors. These strong emotional periods can last anywhere from few hours to a few days and  can significantly impact relationships.

In this trial, local doctors are evaluating an investigational drug that is being developed for the treatment of PBD. They want to compare the investigational drug to placebo, which looks like the investigational drug contains no active ingredients.

The investigational drug has not been approve to treat BPD. However, it has been approved in the United States as a single treatment for schizophrenia. It has also been approved to treat mayor depressive disorder when it is taken in combination with antidepressants.

It is quite difficult to deal with recurring MIGRAINE attacks.

Are you 18 to 65 years of age? Have you been diagnosed with SCHIZOPHRENIA?

It is quite difficult to deal with recurring MIGRAINE attacks.

IF WE ADD DEPRESSION, IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO LEAD A NORMAL LIFE

We are investigating a commercial medication to determine if it can prevent migraine in people with major depressive disorder.

It is well known that a patient suffering from mild tension-type headache, which can be relieved by aspirin, rarely visits a doctor to be treated for this condition. However, if the headache occurs daily, is present when the patient wakes up, and lasts most of the day, and has been recurrent for months or years, this patient suffers from a major therapeutic problem. These have been patients who have been seen by a doctor due to continuous headaches that cannot be treated with common pain relievers.

The depressed patient presents a wide variety of symptoms that can be classified as bodily, emotional, and psychic. The most prevalent body symptoms include chronic body aches, chronic headaches, sleeping problems (severe insomnia), problems with waking up early and eating (changes in appetite, anorexia, rapid weight loss); Chronic headache and decreased sexual desire also predominate - from impotence in men to amenorrhea (absence of menstruation) or frigidity in women. The emotional symptoms are usually melancholy, anxiety, and concern about the past, present, and future. Finally, the mood symptoms consist of suicidal thoughts, and wishes to die, and statements like "morning is the worst part of the day." The headache that cohabits with depression is considered a tension headache (muscle tension).

About research trials

Research trials help pharmaceutical companies learn more about investigational drugs before they are made available to the public. The results of a research trial will provide more information about the investigational drug to the regulatory agencies that will determine if it should be approved as a treatment and release the drug to the public. By taking part in a trial, you will contribute to a treatment research.
